Send us your compatible SLS, MJF or SAF polymer parts, and 3DChimera will professionally dye them black.
Simple Pricing
Black dyeing is $5 per part and sold in prepaid batches:
- 20 parts — $100
- 50 parts — $250
- 100 parts — $500
- 250 parts — $1,250
Choose the batch that accommodates the number of parts you are sending. Unused capacity is not refundable or transferable.
Parts are dyed in-house using the 3DChimera Dyeformer and Dyeformer dyes — non-toxic, bio-based and permanent.
How It Works
- Select and purchase your batch.
- 3DChimera will contact you with shipping instructions.
- Ship your parts to 3DChimera at your expense.
- We dye, rinse, dry and ship your parts back to you.
Ship your parts to us at your expense; return shipping is calculated at checkout based on your batch size and we handle sending your dyed parts back.
Turnaround
Turnaround is 2–3 business days from our receipt of the parts (not including shipping).
Expedited service may be available upon request for an additional fee. Contact us before shipping if you require expedited processing.
Part Requirements
- No individual part may exceed 6 inches in any dimension.
- Parts must be fully depowdered and free of oil, grease, adhesive and other contamination.
- The material and printing process must be identified when ordering.
- Parts must be made from a compatible dyeable polymer.
Parts larger than 6 inches, unusually heavy shipments, special handling requirements and production quantities beyond the listed packages require a custom quote.

Important Information
Final appearance may vary based on material, original color, printing process, surface texture and prior handling. Dyeing changes the part’s color but does not conceal layer lines, scratches or other surface imperfections.
