Policies

SHIPPING & FREIGHT

All products shipped from 3DChimera are insured for damage that may occur during transportation with a 3DChimera selected carrier.  If a customer chooses to manage the shipping details for an order, then 3DChimera has no responsibility for insuring the shipment or for any damage that occurs during shipping.

In order to file a damage claim, the recipient MUST inform the delivery person with the carrier (ie. FedEx, UPS, etc) of exterior packaging damage, however slight, at the time of receipt and confirm that this damage is properly documented.  All packaging and product damage must be immediately photographed and clearly documented for claim submission.  3DChimera must be informed of the damage within 2 business days of the arrival date.  At that time, a damage claim number will be assigned.  If damage is not reported within 2 business days, then 3DChimera will not be held responsible for any shipment damage.

3DChimera will provide replacement components for any serviceable items damaged during shipping.  Labor to replace these components is not included.

RETURN

If you would like to return or exchange a product purchased from 3DChimera, you can do so within 30 days of purchase.  To qualify for a return or exchange, all of the conditions must be met:

Product must be unused and unopenedYou must request & be assigned a return merchandise authorization (RMA)

Once a return merchandise authorization (RMA) is assigned, you will be provided with a shipping label for return to 3DChimera.  Upon receipt the product and package will be inspected for damage.  If no damage is found and the previous conditions are met, a refund will be issued for the full purchase price less all shipping costs (both ways), a 10% restocking fee, and taxes collected.

If you return Product to 3DChimera without a return authorization from 3DChimera, then 3DChimera retains the right to either refuse acceptance of such return or charge you a minimum restocking fee of 25% of the original price of the product(s).

Please note that "special order" items are not eligible for return.  An item qualifies as a "special order" item if it is not regularly held in stock by 3DChimera.  This applies to all equipment, products, materials and accessories purchased from 3DChimera.

RETURN OF REFURBISHED PRODUCTS

In the case of a Refurbished product, the product must be in the original packaging provided by 3DChimera, and may not be used by the end customer prior to return.

RETURN OF CUSTOMER ASSEMBLED PRODUCTS

In the case of a "kit" based product, the kit must be in the original packaging provided by 3DChimera.  A kit based product cannot be returned to 3DChimera if the assembly process was started by the customer.

If you are having trouble with assembly, 3DChimera offers a 3D Printer repair service, which can be utilized to ship the printer to 3DC for troubleshooting and repair. Please reach out to info@3dchimera.com for additional details.

REFUND (PRIOR TO SHIPMENT)

3DChimera will accept refunds on all stock products within 24hrs of order. If funds have been exchanged (credit card, check, ACH, Wire Transfer, etc), then a 10% refund fee will be discounted from the refund to account for administrative expenses.  If funds have not been exchanged, then the order will be voided.

All orders for special order items, custom products, services or orders that are older than 24hrs are ineligible for refund.

Limited Product Warranty

3D PRINTERS (ASSEMBLED)

At 3DChimera, we strive to select 3D Printers that meet the demands of the most challenging engineering and industrial applications.  We stand by all of our 3D Printers with a 1 year warranty against defects in workmanship and quality on all key components from the date of purchase on your equipment.  This warranty is valid for the original purchaser of the 3D Printer and is non-transferable.

The following consumable & wear items are not covered on FFF 3D printers:

Extruder Mechanism, Hotend & NozzleCooling FansTeflon Guide TubesBuild Plate & Build SurfaceFilamentBeltsBearings / Pulleys

The following consumable & wear items are not covered on SLS 3D Printers:

PowderLaserAny glass lensHeat lampsFilter mediaGasketsTension cables / SpringsBearings / Pulleys

3DChimera will provide replacement components for any serviceable items covered under a warranty claim.  Labor to replace these components is not included.

3D PRINTERS (CUSTOMER ASSEMBLED)

All components within a 3D printer kit to be assembled by the customer have a 1 year warranty against defects in workmanship and quality, with the exception of the following consumable & wear items listed in the previous section.

While the individual components are covered, the performance of a 3D printer kit after assembly is not covered by the warranty, as this is highly dependent on the skills and capabilities of the assembler.  As a courtesy, 3DChimera will provide guidance and limited troubleshooting assistance to customers who encounter challenges with performance after a 3d printer kit is assembled.

3D SCANNERS

Our 3D Scanners are intended for everyday use in professional environments. We stand by all of our 3D Scanners with a 1 year warranty against defects in workmanship and quality on all key components from the date of purchase on your equipment.  This warranty is valid for the original purchaser of the 3D Scanner and is non-transferable.

The following consumable & wear items are not covered on 3D Scanners:

OTHER PRODUCTS & ACCESSORIES

All other products at 3DChimera carry a 30-day warranty against defects in workmanship and quality from the date of purchase.  This warranty is valid for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS

In the case where a warranty claim is required, 3DChimera will work with the customer to assess the root cause of the issue and will provide a replacement component (including shipping at no cost). Labor to replace any defective component is not included in the warranty.

This warranty does not apply to a Product or part of a Product that has been serviced, altered, refurbished, or modified by anyone who is not authorized by 3DChimera, nor does it apply to any cosmetic damage such as scratches and dents. In addition, this Limited Product Warranty does not apply to damage or defects caused by (a) accident, abuse, misuse, mishandling, flood, fire, earthquake or other external causes; (b) normal wear and tear or aging of the Product such as discoloration or stretching; or (c) operating the Product (i) outside the permitted or intended uses described by 3DChimera, (ii) not in accordance with instructions provided by 3DChimera, or (iii) with improper voltage or power supply.

No 3DChimera reseller, distributor, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this Limited Product Warranty. If any term contained herein is held to be illegal or unenforceable, the legality or enforceability of the remaining terms shall not be affected or impaired.

This Limited Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without giving effect to any conflict of laws principles that may provide the application of the law of another jurisdiction.

LIMITATION OF DAMAGES

EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, 3DCHIMERA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE OR DATA, RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF 3DCHIMERA HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
