Quicksurface is the ultimate solution for Reverse Engineering compatible with any 3D Scanner exporting STL meshes or PTX point clouds.
Automatic or manual surfacing of complex shapes. Export data in standard IGES or STEP file formats or build fully parametric history tree directly into SOLIDWORKS.
Created for professionals and non-professionals to convert 3D Scanned STL meshes with simplicity and ease. QUICKSURFACE is not about building from scratch, it is about 3D reverse engineering.
Equipped with full feature set, ease of use and efficient algorithms, QUICKSURFACE provides unbeatable environment for any type of user to create CAD model from scanned STL meshes.
Scan Data Import
Load data from any scanner using the industry standard STL mesh files. For long range scanners, the data can be imported using PTX file format. Reduce the number of polygons while keeping the original reference mesh for best results
Primitives
Reconstruct quickly planes, cylinders and spheres. Create relations between them as peprendicularity, parallelism and coincidence. Curvature based selection and best fitting algorithms allow the user to create precise primitives with ease
Orienting reference Mesh
Fast and easy orient the mesh in space in the correct position with respect to world coordinate system using extracted primitives including middle plane or even the position manually if needed. Display of mirrored points of the mesh will help to setup summetry objects correctly.
2D Sketching
Efficient 2D Sketching using section points from the mesh as a reference. Real-time deviation colour map provides control over the whole process. Contruct Extruded and Revolved surfaces from the 2D sketch
Trim, Fillet and Patterns
Apply standard operation on surfaces to achieve connected surfaces or solid bodies. Control in real-time fillet operation to the the best results. Mirror and Circular pattern save the user a lot of time and provide great results.
Free Form Modelling
Quad surface allows the user to reconstruct free form surface which is not possible with the standard surfacing methods. Real-time analyzer and snap-to-mesh technology allows even non-professionals to create shapes in no time. Something which is not available in any other solutions
Automatic Surfacing
Create surface on organic shapes with hit of a button. No user interaction required.
History Based Parametric Modeling
Get back and modify any of the shapes, including free form and get the end result immediately. Parametric modelling is a key feature of QUICKSURFACE
Link to other CAD packages
Export reconstructed surfaces or solid models for use in other packages using the industry standard format STEP or IGES.
QSConnect for SOLIDWORKS
User guided process allows the user to transfer the whole parametric history into SOLIDWORKS® directly. The process is controlled by QUICKSURFACE to achieve error-free models and save a lot of time
What makes Quicksurface different?
Interactive selection by the user instead of automatic segmentation on reference mesh;
Constrained best fit(for example the ability to constrain the direction of the cylinder to be parallel to an axis, while still getting the best fit to the points);
Relations between extracted primitives – parallelism, perpendicularity, coincidence, offset;
Quick alignment based on extracted primitive (datum) prioritization;
Mirrored point display to check symmetry of the aligned scan object;
Realtime deviation colour map in 2D Sketch mode;
Proprietary snap-to-mesh technology for free form modelling;
Manipulator based accurate modification of the free form surfaces;
The ability to modify the automatic surface, if the design intent requires it;
QUICKSURFACE Free Form is not only exact surfacing, the user can manually adjust the resolution and position of control points to avoid mapping of the surface to the reference mesh which may have outliers and noise;
Realtime deviation in Free Form, helping to create lighter surfaces with less control points;
Control of patch size, and thus resolution on the final Free Form surface;
Parametric hybrid modelling - starting with free form and basic primitives, the user can build a complex CAD model by trimming them and can later change the surfaces based on the design intent;
QSConnect module for SOLIDWORKS never ends with “Transfer failed”. The software guides the user to create an error-free model in SOLIDWORKS;
QUICKSURFACE has neither hardware integration with scanners nor mesh processing tools which the modern 3D scanners provide. As a result of this, the user does not have to pay extra for tools already included in the 3D scanners' software;
An affordable price for faster return on investment
