Connecting Multiple AMS Units to the H2D? No Hub Required.
One of the most common questions we get about the Bambu Lab H2D is: “Do I need an AMS Hub or buffer to run multiple AMS units?”
The answer is simple: No.
Unlike the P1 and X1 series, the H2D has a built-in buffer at each nozzle input. This means you don’t need an external AMS Hub or buffer module to connect multiple AMS units.
How Many AMS Units Can the H2D Handle?
According to the official Bambu Lab Wiki, the H2D (and the H2D Pro) supports:

Up to 4× AMS 2 Pro units (16 filaments total)

Up to 8× AMS HT units (for high-temperature materials)
That’s a total of 12 AMS units — 24 spools of filament — running directly into the H2D without requiring any extra external hubs or buffers. And...you still can add 1 more extra external spool on the 2nd hotend.
What Do You Need Instead?
If you want to feed more than one AMS into a single nozzle, the H2D requires a simple 4-to-1 PTFE splitter (adapter).
Here’s how it works:
