The Bambu Lab X2D Combo pairs Bambu's next-generation dual-nozzle flagship 3D printer with the AMS 2 Pro for effortless multi-color and multi-material printing.
Dual Nozzles. Zero Compromises.
The X2D is the second-generation flagship of Bambu Lab's X Series and the long-awaited replacement for the X1C. Its dual-nozzle extrusion system uses a mechanical gear-and-trigger switching mechanism with no extra motor on the toolhead — keeping the head lighter for sharper positioning accuracy and finer surface quality at high speeds. Bambu Lab life-cycle tested the mechanism through over one million switches without degradation.
Two Extrusion Philosophies in One Machine
- Main nozzle — direct drive: the motor sits right at the toolhead for precise, short-path filament feeding.
- Auxiliary nozzle — Bowden: a more powerful rear-mounted motor pushes filament over longer distances.
Switching nozzles replaces the long purge sequences of single-nozzle multi-material setups — faster color changes, cleaner transitions, and far less wasted filament.
Supports That Come Off Clean
Print dedicated support material from the second nozzle and watch supports separate with ease. Finished parts come off the bed truly ready — no sanding or scraping.
Multi-Material Freedom
Fuse PLA and TPU in a single model — bags, grips, and bumpers that come off the bed ready to use. Hardened steel nozzles, a 300°C hotend, and a 65°C actively heated chamber open the door to engineering materials.
